Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: Ensure the lathe is placed on a stable, level surface. Connect the power cable to a suitable 220-240V outlet. Familiarize yourself with the location of the main power switch with emergency stop function. The machine comes with a 3-jaw chuck and basic tool post; install your cutting tools (8x8mm) securely.
Compatibility: The PD 250/E is designed for working with steel, brass, aluminum, and plastic. Optional accessories like the PF 230 mill/drill head expand its capabilities. Ensure any purchased accessories are compatible with the PD 250/E model.
Care: Keep the machine clean and free from debris, especially around moving parts like the cross slide and tailstock. Regularly lubricate the lead screw and machine bed guides according to manufacturer recommendations. The machine bed, made of cast iron, should be protected from rust. Periodically check belt tension and clean the motor cooling vents. The 3-jaw chuck should be kept clean and lubricated for optimal performance.
