Troubleshooting

Water draining too slowly

Check both 40mm waste outlets for debris and ensure the plumbing vents are clear.

Ensure the bath is perfectly level; if the base is uneven, the door frame may slightly misalign.

Minor leakage around the door seal

Inspect the rubber gasket for hair or soap buildup and clean with a damp, soft cloth.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Superior safety features for those with mobility challenges
Spacious 1700mm length mimics standard bath dimensions
Rapid drainage system via twin waste outlets
Elegant design that complements modern bathroom aesthetics

Cons

Specific right-hand orientation is not reversible

Larger footprint may not fit smaller en-suite bathrooms

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Installation of the Abberton 1700 should be performed by a qualified plumber to ensure the waste outlets and taps are correctly sealed. The bath measures 170cm x 76cm x 61cm, so verify that your bathroom can accommodate these dimensions and that the plumbing is aligned for a right-hand model. For care, avoid using abrasive chemical cleaners on the acrylic surface; a mild, non-scratch detergent with a soft cloth is recommended. Ensure the door seal is wiped clean of soap residue after every use to maintain its watertight integrity.
