Trend Router Cutter - C057X1/4TC

This cutter is primarily used to create decorative radiused grooves on wood, suitable for panel finishes and board edges.

For deep grooves, you will need to make a series of shallow passes, gradually increasing the depth with each pass, rather than attempting to cut the full depth at once.

The cutter creates a groove with a radius of 11.1 mm.

It is compatible with any standard router or spindle moulder that accepts a 1/4 inch shank collet.

While designed for decorative purposes, it can also be used for creating channels or rebates where a radiused profile is desired, especially when used with specific jigs.

Keep the cutter clean after each use, removing any wood dust or resin. Store it in a dry place to prevent rust and inspect for sharpness and any damage before each operation.

Ensure the cutter is sharp and free from debris. Reduce the depth of cut per pass and increase the number of passes. Check that the router speed is appropriate for the wood being cut.

Verify that the cutter shank is fully and securely seated in the collet. Ensure the collet itself is clean and not damaged. Check that the router motor bearings are in good condition.

Remember that deep grooves require multiple shallow passes. Ensure your router's depth adjustment is functioning correctly and set appropriately for incremental cuts.
