The Voltcraft CT-7 cable tester quickly and easily tests all common computer cables for continuity, short circuit, open ends, crossover, incorrect wiring, etc. An easy-to-read LED display allows you to test each conductor in turn, manually or automatically, so that you can check for multiple ground connections, incorrect crossed connections, or detect breaks in the wire. It is suitable for all common computer and network cables and features a clear illuminated bar display. The tester is adjustable for 2, 4, 6, 9, 15, 25 or 36 cables, and performs channel, connection, allocation and shield tests. The display of allocation is via LEDs, with both automatic and manual test cycles available. It is compatible with 9-pin, 15-pin, 25-pin SUB-D, 15-pin SUB-HD and Centronics connectors. Additionally, it supports USB A + B, IEEE 1394, BNC, RJ-45, PS/2, 5-pin DIN and SATA connections.
