HellermannTyton D KIT - Sleeve Expansion Tool Kit

The D KIT is designed for the quick and efficient application of sleeves and grommets onto cables or wires, covering a diameter range from 1.2mm to 11.5mm.

The kit includes a tool body, a set of various prongs for different diameter fittings, and a small bottle of Hellerine lubricant.

You should select the prong that most closely matches the inner diameter of the sleeve or grommet you intend to apply.

While not strictly essential, the lubricant significantly eases the application process, helps prevent damage to the sleeve, and ensures a smoother fit.

This tool is specifically designed for expanding sleeves and grommets. It is not intended for use with heat shrink tubing, which requires a heat source for application.

Store the kit in a clean, dry environment. Keep all components together in the original packaging or a dedicated tool case to prevent loss and damage.

The three-pronged design ensures an even expansion of the sleeve or grommet, leading to a more secure and consistent fit without distortion.

Ensure sufficient Hellerine lubricant has been applied to both the prong and the inside of the sleeve. Verify that the correct prong size for the sleeve diameter is being used.

Check for obstructions within the sleeve or on the prong. Ensure the sleeve is not being forced onto the target. Reapply lubricant and try a gentler, steady pressure.

Confirm that the selected prong is correctly and securely seated in the tool body. Inspect the connection point for any damage or debris.

Ensure you are using the largest appropriate prong. For very tight fits, a more generous application of lubricant may be necessary.
