Product Information

Full details

The SASONS Telescopic Clothesline Support Prop is an essential tool for homeowners and laundry enthusiasts looking to maintain a taut, elevated washing line regardless of the weight of their wet garments. It is ideal for supporting heavy loads like bedding, jeans, and towels, preventing the common issue of sagging lines that touch the ground. While it provides excellent structural support for outdoor drying, users should note that the prop requires manual adjustment and placement each time a heavy load is added to the line.

FAQs

What is the maximum height of the prop?

The SASONS Telescopic Clothesline Support Prop extends to a maximum height of 2.4 metres.

Can I leave the prop outside all year?

It features a weatherproof coating, but storing it indoors during winter or extreme weather will help extend its lifespan.

Will this work with a retractable clothesline?

Yes, it is compatible with most standard clothesline types, including retractable systems.

How do I clean the pole?

A simple wipe down with a damp cloth is sufficient to remove dirt or dust.

Is the base weighted?

No, the base is designed for standard ground placement and relies on the tension of the clothesline to keep it stable.

Does it come in different sizes?

The current model is designed for a maximum reach of 2.4 metres.

Troubleshooting

The pole slips down while in use.

Ensure the locking mechanism is fully tightened and that no debris or moisture is inside the sliding mechanism preventing a firm lock.

The pole feels unstable in windy weather.

Ensure the base is positioned on a flat, even surface and consider angling the pole slightly against the direction of the wind.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Prevents clothes from dragging on the ground
Adjustable height up to 2.4 metres for flexibility
Durable, weatherproof exterior for long-term outdoor use
Lightweight yet robust construction for easy handling
Folds down for efficient, space-saving storage

Cons

Requires manual repositioning for each laundry load
Performance depends on the structural integrity of your clothesline
Single-pack may not be sufficient for very long washing lines

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Setting up the pole is straightforward: unlock the mechanism, extend the pole to the required height, and secure the lock. This prop is compatible with most standard garden washing lines, including rotary, retractable, and traditional fixed lines. To maintain the life of your product, wipe down the pole with a damp cloth after periods of heavy rain and ensure it is fully dry before storing it away for winter. Avoid dragging the base over rough concrete to protect the weatherproof coating on the bottom of the unit.
