Getting started with your Hetty is straightforward, and proper care ensures long-lasting performance.
Initial Setup
- Unpack Components: Carefully remove Hetty and all accessories from the packaging.
- Insert Dust Bag: Open the front of Hetty, insert a genuine "Henry bag" into the drum, ensuring it's securely seated around the inlet.
- Assemble Hose and Tubes: Connect the flexible hose to the inlet on the main unit. Assemble the Stainless Steel Tube Set by pushing the sections together. Attach the desired cleaning tool (e.g., Combi Floor Tool) to the end of the tubes.
- Connect to Power: Extend the 10-meter cable and plug it into a suitable power outlet. Ensure the cable is fully unwound before use to prevent overheating.
Compatibility
Hetty is designed to be highly compatible with various cleaning needs:
- Surfaces: Ideal for use on carpets, hard-floors, stairs, and even car interiors.
- Debris: Effectively handles household dust, dirt, crumbs, pet hair, and light DIY debris.
- Accessories: Uses standard Numatic 32mm accessories, allowing for expansion of your toolkit if desired.
Care and Maintenance
- Dust Bag Replacement: Replace the "Henry bag" when it is full, or when you notice a reduction in suction power. Always use genuine Numatic bags for optimal performance and filtration.
- TriTex Filter Care: Regularly inspect the TriTex filter. Info needed: Refer to the full user manual for specific instructions on how to clean or replace the TriTex filter. Proper filter maintenance is crucial for maintaining suction and air quality.
- Cleaning Tools: Periodically check and clean the cleaning tools, especially the Combi Floor Tool, to remove tangled hair or debris that could impair performance.
- Exterior Cleaning: Wipe down the exterior of your Hetty with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the unit in water.
- Cable Rewind: When rewinding the cable, guide it gently to ensure it retracts smoothly and without kinks. Avoid letting it snap back violently.
- Storage: Store Hetty and its accessories in a dry place. Utilize the on-board tool storage to keep all attachments tidy and accessible.
