The Airmaster 6 Inch Extractor Fan is designed for homeowners and DIY enthusiasts looking to improve air quality in bathrooms and toilets. Its key benefit is the combination of manual pull cord control and an integrated timer, ensuring effective moisture removal after the room is vacated. The main caveat is that installation requires basic electrical knowledge, and the unit is specifically sized for a 6-inch aperture.

The fan is IPX4 rated, which provides splash protection; however, it should be installed according to local electrical regulations for bathroom zones.
This is a 6-inch extractor fan, so it requires 6-inch diameter ducting.
The timer is pre-configured, but any adjustments to internal electrical settings should be performed by a qualified person.
The pull cord is a primary control feature of this specific model and is intended to be used as the activation switch.
The unit includes comprehensive installation instructions, but you should ensure you have the appropriate wall plugs and screws for your specific wall or ceiling type.
Check the fuse and ensure the electrical supply is properly connected at the terminal block.
Verify the wiring connections against the provided diagram, as incorrect wiring can bypass the timer function.
Ensure the fan is mounted flush against the wall or ceiling and that the fixing screws are not overtightened, which can cause vibration.
To install, ensure the electrical supply is isolated at the mains. The unit measures 200mm in width and 230mm in height, so verify that your wall or ceiling cutout aligns with these dimensions. Always follow the included installation manual for wiring the timer circuit correctly. For maintenance, gently wipe the exterior white casing with a damp cloth to remove dust. Avoid using abrasive cleaning agents or excessive water, as the internal motor and electrical components must remain dry.
