Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
This cable is designed for plug-and-play operation. Simply connect the USB-C end to your computer or laptop's USB-C port and the USB-B end to your printer, scanner, or other compatible peripheral. No software or drivers are typically required for basic functionality.
Compatibility:
- Host Device: Requires a computer or laptop with a USB Type-C port that supports data transfer.
- Peripheral Device: Requires a peripheral with a standard USB Type-B port. This includes many printers, scanners, external hard drives, and docking stations.
- USB Version: While the cable supports USB 3.2 Gen 1 (5Gbps), it is backward compatible with USB 2.0 ports and devices, though speeds will be limited to USB 2.0 rates.
- Power Delivery: Ensure your host device's USB-C port supports power output if you intend to utilize the 60W capability for charging or powering peripherals.
Care:
- Avoid bending the cable sharply, especially near the connectors, to prevent internal wire damage.
- Keep connectors clean; gently wipe with a dry, lint-free cloth if dust accumulates.
- Store the cable away from extreme temperatures and moisture.
