Setup, Compatibility & Care
Initial Setup: While often delivered mostly assembled, a professional bike shop or experienced individual should complete the final setup. This includes proper installation of pedals, tightening of handlebars, adjusting saddle height, and ensuring brakes and gears are functioning optimally. It is recommended to have the bike tuned up after the first few rides.
Compatibility: The TREK Dual Sport 3 is compatible with standard bicycle accessories such as lights, fenders, racks, and water bottle cages. The tubeless-ready wheels allow for conversion to a tubeless tire setup, which can improve ride quality and reduce flats.
Care: Regular cleaning with water and mild soap is recommended. Keep the chain lubricated by applying bicycle chain lubricant regularly, especially after riding in wet conditions. Periodically check tire pressure and brake pad wear. Store the bike in a dry place when not in use to prevent rust and component degradation.
