FAQs
How long does it take for the water to heat up?
Heating time depends heavily on sunlight intensity and duration. On a clear, sunny day, it can take 1-2 hours for the water to reach a comfortable showering temperature.
Can I use this shower if there's no sun?
Yes, you can use it with cold water from your garden hose. However, the solar heating feature will not function without sufficient sunlight.
What is the capacity of the water tank?
The product description does not specify the exact tank capacity, but it is described as a 'large water tank'.
What is the recommended water pressure?
The recommended water pressure for optimal performance is approximately 3.5 bar.
How do I drain the shower at the end of the season?
Use the additional faucet located at the bottom of the unit to drain all water completely.
Is assembly difficult?
Assembly is designed to be quick and easy, with mounting hardware included for secure ground anchoring.
Does it come with a cover?
Yes, it includes a water-repellent rain cover with a zipper and drawstring for protection.
Troubleshooting
Water is not heating up
Ensure the shower is positioned in direct sunlight for several hours. Check that the water tank is sufficiently filled and that the ambient temperature is warm enough for solar heating. Verify sunlight has not been obstructed.
Low water pressure
Check the garden hose connection for leaks or kinks. Ensure the main water supply pressure meets the recommended ~3.5 bar. Clean any potential sediment from the hose or shower inlet.
Water temperature is too hot or too cold
Adjust the single-lever mixer faucet. Mix more cold water for a cooler shower or less cold water (allowing more sun-heated water) for a warmer shower. Allow time for the water in the tank to adjust to ambient conditions.
Shower is unstable
Re-check and tighten all assembly connections. Ensure the ground anchoring hardware is securely installed into a stable surface.
