Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure proper performance, always match the internal diameter of the washer exactly to the shank diameter of your drain bolt. Before installation, clean the contact surface on both the sump pan and the bolt head to remove any residual grime or old gasket material, as debris can prevent a flat seal and lead to leaks.
Storage is straightforward: keep the container closed in a dry environment. While copper does not rust, it can develop a patina over time if exposed to moisture, which does not affect sealing capability but may make the washers appear discolored. No specific maintenance is required other than keeping the box organized for easy future access.
