The Mahle LAO 119 Cabin Air Filter is an ideal solution for drivers and passengers who suffer from seasonal allergies or demand superior air quality inside their vehicle. This premium activated carbon filter utilizes advanced CareMetix technology to neutralize odors, block fine dust, and eliminate allergens, providing a healthier breathing environment. While it offers industry-leading protection, users should note that as a premium high-efficiency filter, it may require slightly more frequent replacement intervals than standard paper-based filters if driving in environments with extremely heavy pollution or dust.

It is recommended to replace the filter every 12 months or every 15,000 kilometers, whichever comes first.
While the activated carbon layer is highly effective against most odors, some extremely strong chemicals or outside gases may still be detectable in high concentrations.
No, the LAO 119 is a single-use filter. Washing it will destroy the active carbon properties and the electrostatic filtration material.
The LAK 119 is a sibling product from the same brand; always check your vehicle's specific owner's manual to ensure the dimensions and fitting match your specific car model.
The filter does not have a top or bottom, but it does have a required directional orientation indicated by the 'Air Flow' arrow.
Ensure the filter is seated correctly and that the arrow on the filter points in the direction of airflow; if installed backwards, it may restrict air.
If odors remain, ensure the HVAC system is set to pull air through the filter and verify the filter is not oversaturated by long-term exposure to heavy smog or moisture.
Installation of the LAO 119 typically takes 5-15 minutes, depending on your vehicle's make and model. Always locate your cabin filter housing—usually found behind the glove box or under the hood near the windshield cowl. When installing, check for the 'Air Flow' arrow on the filter frame and ensure it matches the direction of your blower motor's airflow. For optimal maintenance, inspect the filter during every oil change and replace it at least once every 12 months or 15,000 kilometers. If you live in an area with high dust levels, consider checking it every 6 months to ensure your HVAC fan does not have to work harder than necessary due to blockages.
