FAQs
Are these shoes suitable for all types of weather?
These trainers are best suited for dry conditions. While they offer some breathability, they are not waterproof and may not be ideal for heavy rain or snow.
How do I know if I've chosen the right size?
Ensure there is a thumb's width of space between the child's longest toe and the end of the shoe. The heel should not slip excessively when the child walks.
Can the recycled polyester material affect allergies?
The materials used are generally safe and designed for children's wear. However, if a specific allergy concern exists, consult the material composition list or a medical professional.
What is the main difference between this and adult On Running shoes?
The Cloud Play PS features 'kid-tuned' CloudTec with smaller clouds optimized for lighter weights and enhanced stability for young, developing feet. The fit and fastening are also designed specifically for children.
How often should I check the shoe's condition?
It's advisable to check the shoes for wear and tear, especially around the sole and fasteners, regularly, particularly if the child is very active.
What is the warranty period for these trainers?
Please refer to the retailer's specific warranty policy for the most accurate information, as warranty periods can vary.
Troubleshooting
Child has difficulty fastening the straps.
Ensure the hook-and-loop fasteners are clean and free of debris. Practice fastening and unfastening with the child, demonstrating the correct technique.
Shoes appear too loose or too tight.
Adjust the hook-and-loop strap for a snug but comfortable fit. Ensure the correct size has been selected, referencing sizing guides if necessary.
Reduced cushioning effect.
The cushioning is designed for children's weight. If the child is at the upper end of the weight range for the shoe, the cushioning might feel less pronounced. Ensure the shoes are properly sized.
Smelly shoes.
Remove insoles if possible and air out shoes regularly. Use a mild odor-absorbing spray specifically designed for footwear.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- Provides excellent cushioning tailored for children's lighter weight.
- Easy for kids to manage independently due to the touch-strap fastening.
- Durable construction suitable for active play.
- Breathable materials keep feet comfortable.
- Designed with expert input for optimal foot support.
Cons
- Cushioning is specifically tuned for children and may not feel the same for adults.
- While durable, extremely rough play might still impact longevity.
- The focus is on general activity rather than specialized sports performance.
Setup, Compatibility & Care
These trainers require no setup. They are designed for immediate wear. Compatibility is broad, suitable for various children's activities from casual walking to light running. To care for the Cloud Play PS trainers, it is recommended to clean them with a damp cloth. Avoid machine washing or harsh detergents, as these can damage the materials and affect the cushioning system. Ensure they are air-dried away from direct heat.
