The longer bristles remove dirt and grit, and the shorter ones groom the top coat. It is ideal for smooth, silky, long, short, and curly coats, with pins and bristles to groom both the undercoat and top coat. This effective moulting tool features soft ball-ended pins for comfortable grooming. We are committed to reducing our packaging and using recycled and recyclable packaging; this product now uses cardboard packaging that is widely recycled. To use the slicker, slowly and gently brush the hair in the direction of the fur growth. The long plastic pins penetrate deep into the coat, gently detangling fur and removing loose hairs. The soft plastic pins have balled ends to ensure your dog is kept comfortable while being groomed. The shorter bristles smooth the top coat, gathering loose and dead hair to leave a neat and glossy coat. To ensure your dog has an enjoyable grooming session, start gently. Pause or end the grooming session if your dog becomes agitated. Slicker pin pad dimensions: Small: 6.5 x 4cm. Medium: 8.5 x 5cm. Large: 9.5 x 7cm. Grooming tips: Grooming is a wonderful way to bond with your dog, but dogs that are new to grooming should be introduced to it slowly. Begin grooming sessions when your dog is relaxed, if possible, after they have exercised. Use tools gently and avoid tugging on the skin or on knots or mats. Give your dog plenty of reassurance throughout the grooming session. Pause or end the grooming session if your dog becomes agitated or shows signs of stress. Keep grooming sessions brief to begin with, and increase the length of the sessions as your dog becomes used to grooming.
