It is recommended to inspect the filter every 5,000 to 10,000 miles, depending on driving conditions, and clean it whenever it appears visibly clogged.
It is highly recommended to use the official Pipercross cleaning products, as they are specifically formulated to clean the media without degrading the material.
Pipercross filters vary by design; always refer to the specific care instructions included with your filter, as some foam filters require a light application of oil.
In most cases, a high-performance air filter will not void a manufacturer's warranty, but you should check with your local dealership to confirm their specific policy.
With proper maintenance and regular cleaning, the filter is designed to last the life of the vehicle, backed by a limited lifetime warranty.
Ensure the airbox is fully closed and the rubber seal of the filter is seated correctly without gaps.
If you drive in high-dust conditions, increase your inspection frequency and perform a gentle cleaning using the recommended maintenance kit.
Verify the part number PP2054 matches your vehicle's specifications and ensure the airbox is free of obstructions.
Installation of the PP2054 follows the standard procedure for air filter replacement. Simply open your vehicle's airbox, remove the old paper filter, clean out any loose debris from the airbox housing, and seat the Pipercross filter firmly in place.
Care instructions are straightforward:
Avoid using high-pressure air or harsh solvents, as these can damage the filter media and void your warranty protection.
