The Clarks Lydford Mid is designed for individuals seeking a stylish yet functional everyday shoe that bridges the gap between a casual sneaker and a rugged work boot. Its primary benefit lies in the combination of premium leather durability and an EVA-cushioned footbed that offers long-lasting comfort for daily wear. While the mid-top design provides excellent ankle support and a classic aesthetic, prospective buyers should note that the leather requires a standard break-in period to achieve maximum comfort.

The Lydford Mid is made from premium leather, which provides good water resistance, but it is not classified as waterproof.
Yes, the shoe features a removable moulded EVA footbed, making it compatible with most custom-made orthotic inserts.
The heel height is approximately 2.5 cm, providing a balanced and comfortable profile for daily walking.
Clarks generally adhere to standard sizing, but because they are made of leather, a snug fit is recommended as they will stretch slightly to your foot shape over time.
Use a soft brush to remove dust and a lightly dampened cloth with mild detergent to gently dab away any stains.
Wear the shoes for short periods indoors to allow the leather to naturally conform to your foot shape; use a leather conditioner to accelerate the softening process.
Since the EVA footbed is removable, it can be replaced with a fresh insert or a custom orthotic to restore original levels of cushioning.
Use a matching black leather cream or wax polish to buff out minor scuffs and restore the uniform color of the leather.
To ensure your Lydford Mid shoes last, start by using a quality leather cream or conditioner every few weeks to keep the hide supple and prevent cracking. Because the EVA footbed is removable, you can easily clean it separately with mild soap and water or replace it with specialized insoles if required. When lacing, do not overtighten the laces across the bridge of the foot, as this can stress the leather; instead, pull them taut enough to provide a secure lockdown without restricting circulation. For storage, keep the shoes in a cool, dry place away from direct heat sources to prevent the leather from drying out, and use wooden shoe trees if possible to help the boots maintain their shape when not in use.
