Setup, Compatibility & Care
Getting your HOMCOM Artificial Christmas Tree ready for the holidays is straightforward. Following these steps and tips will ensure a beautiful display and prolong the life of your tree.
Setup Instructions
- Unpack Components: Carefully remove all tree sections, the base, and the instruction manual from the packaging.
- Assemble the Base: Connect the parts of the steel base according to the diagrams in the included manual, ensuring it is sturdy and level.
- Insert Sections: Begin by inserting the bottom tree section firmly into the assembled base. Then, connect subsequent tree sections, working your way up to the top.
- Fluff the Branches: This is a crucial step for achieving the tree's full appearance. Starting from the bottom and working upwards, gently separate and spread each individual branch and all its branch tips outwards and slightly upwards. Dedicate 15-20 minutes to this process to ensure a dense, natural look.
- Final Adjustments: Step back and observe the tree from all angles, making any final adjustments to the branches to fill in gaps and create a symmetrical shape.
Compatibility
This artificial Christmas tree is a standalone decorative item. It is compatible with standard Christmas tree lights (not included) and a wide variety of ornaments. No special electrical or system compatibility is required.
Care & Maintenance
- Dusting: Use a soft, dry cloth or a feather duster to gently remove any accumulated dust from the branches and decorations.
- Spot Cleaning: For minor spots or smudges, use a lightly damp cloth with a small amount of mild soap. Gently wipe the affected area and then dry immediately with a clean, dry cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Initial Flocking Shed: Some minor shedding of the snow flocking is normal during initial setup and handling. Gently shake the tree outdoors before bringing it inside if possible. Avoid excessive rubbing or handling of the flocked areas.
- Storage: After the holiday season, carefully compress the branches towards the trunk. Disassemble the tree into its original sections. Store the tree in its original box or a dedicated artificial tree storage bag. Keep it in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures, to prevent material degradation and flocking damage.
