The Bosch Air Filter (1457433703) is an essential maintenance component designed specifically for owners of 2.1D Mercedes-Benz Sprinter vans produced between 2000 and 2006. It provides the key benefit of superior engine protection by capturing harmful dirt and debris before they reach internal components, ensuring long-term engine efficiency and reliability. The primary caveat is that this filter is precision-engineered for specific engine configurations; therefore, verify your vehicle's engine type and model year against these specifications before beginning installation to avoid fitment issues.

No, this specific part (1457433703) is designed for 2.1D Mercedes-Benz Sprinter models produced from 2000 to 2006.
It is generally recommended to replace the filter entirely rather than attempting to clean it, as compressed air can damage the filtration media and compromise its effectiveness.
Check your owner's manual for specific service intervals; however, for most Sprinter vans, replacement is recommended every 10,000 to 15,000 miles or sooner if driving in very dusty conditions.
This Bosch filter is a dry-type filter and does not require or come with oil.
No, using an OE-standard replacement filter like Bosch does not void your warranty, provided it is installed correctly.
Double-check that the filter is seated perfectly flat in the housing; a misaligned filter can create air leaks or airbox obstructions.
Verify the orientation of the filter. If the dimensions do not appear to match the housing footprint, re-verify your vehicle's engine code against the 2.1D specifications.
To ensure proper installation, first locate the air filter housing, usually found within the engine bay. Release the clips or screws securing the cover and lift it carefully. Remove the old filter, taking note of its orientation, and clean any loose debris from the bottom of the airbox with a vacuum or dry cloth. Insert the new Bosch 1457433703 filter, ensuring the rubber seal is seated correctly around the perimeter to prevent air bypass. Close the housing, ensuring the fasteners are tight and secure. Compatibility is strictly limited to 2.1D Mercedes-Benz Sprinter models produced between 2000 and 2006. Inspect the filter every 5,000 to 10,000 miles, depending on environmental conditions, and replace it if it appears saturated with dirt.
