Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Gather Materials: You will need the shelf, mounting brackets (often included or recommended separately), a level, a drill, screws suitable for your wall type, and a measuring tape.
- Determine Placement: Decide on the desired location and height for your shelf.
- Mark Bracket Positions: Use a level to mark where the mounting brackets will be attached to the wall. Ensure they are spaced correctly for the shelf and are level.
- Install Brackets: Drill pilot holes and securely attach the mounting brackets to the wall using appropriate screws. For drywall, use heavy-duty anchors rated for the shelf's intended weight capacity. For best results, aim for wall studs.
- Mount Shelf: Slide the floating shelf onto the installed brackets. Ensure it is firmly seated and secure.
Compatibility:
This shelf is designed for mounting on various wall types, including drywall, plaster, and masonry, provided the correct mounting hardware and anchors are used. It is compatible with standard floating shelf bracket systems.
Care:
- Clean with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or excessive moisture.
- Periodically check the mounting hardware to ensure it remains secure.
- To preserve the teak finish, consider applying a wood wax or sealant annually, following the product's instructions.
