Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Unpack and Inspect: Carefully remove all packaging materials. Check for any transit damage.
- Placement: Position the fridge freezer on a flat, stable surface, ensuring sufficient clearance around the sides and rear for ventilation (refer to your user manual for exact distances). Avoid direct sunlight or heat sources.
- Leveling: Use the adjustable feet to level the appliance. This ensures proper door alignment and efficient operation.
- Initial Power-Up: After positioning, allow the appliance to stand for at least 4 hours before plugging it in. This allows the refrigerant to settle. Once plugged in, allow 4-6 hours for it to reach optimal operating temperatures before loading with food.
Compatibility
This is a freestanding fridge freezer, meaning it can be placed anywhere in your kitchen with access to a power outlet, without requiring integration into specific cabinetry.
Care
- Interior Cleaning: Regularly wipe down the interior with a soft cloth and a mild detergent solution. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
- Exterior Cleaning: Clean the exterior with a damp cloth. For the black finish, use a soft, non-abrasive cloth to prevent scratching.
- Door Seals: Check door seals periodically for cleanliness and integrity. Clean with warm water to maintain a good seal, which is crucial for energy efficiency.
- No Defrosting Needed: Due to Total No Frost technology, manual defrosting is not required. If you notice any ice build-up (which is rare), check door seals or usage patterns.
- Power Saving: Keep the doors closed as much as possible. Do not place hot food directly into the fridge or freezer.
