Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Insert the microSDXC card into the designated slot on your compatible device (e.g., camera, smartphone, tablet, gaming console, laptop). Ensure the device is powered off before insertion if recommended by the device manufacturer.
- If the card is new or being used for the first time, the device may prompt you to format it. It's recommended to format the card within the device for optimal compatibility and performance.
- To utilize the full read speed potential for offloading files, use a compatible SanDisk QuickFlow microSD UHS-I Card USB-A Reader (sold separately) connected to your computer.
Compatibility:
The SanDisk Extreme PRO microSDXC UHS-I card is compatible with devices that support microSDXC and UHS-I standards. This includes many action cameras, drones, Android smartphones and tablets, handheld gaming consoles, and laptops with microSDXC card slots.
Care:
- Cleaning: If the card's surface becomes dirty, gently wipe it with a clean, dry, lint-free cloth. Avoid using liquids or harsh chemicals.
- Handling: While the card is built to be durable, avoid excessive physical force. Store and handle it with reasonable care when not in use.
- Protection: The card is resistant to water, temperature, shock, drops, magnets, and X-rays. However, prolonged exposure to extreme conditions beyond its rated limits should still be avoided.
- Software: Regularly back up important data from the card. Utilize the included RescuePRO Deluxe software for file recovery if needed.
- Formatting: Periodically format the card using your device's built-in formatting tool to maintain optimal performance, especially after transferring large amounts of data or after extensive use.
