Setup, Compatibility & Care
Compatibility Check: Before installation, verify that your vehicle is listed among the compatible models (e.g., Alfa Romeo 146 1995-2001, Fiat Brava 1995-2002). Cross-reference the OEM numbers (Alfa Romeo/Fiat: 46520658, Citroën: 1444Q6) with your vehicle's existing filter or consult a professional.
Installation:
- Ensure the engine is off and cool.
- Locate the air filter housing (usually a black plastic box in the engine bay).
- Open the housing, typically by releasing clips or screws.
- Remove the old air filter.
- Clean the inside of the air filter housing.
- Insert the new Bosch air filter, ensuring it is seated correctly and creates a proper seal.
- Close and secure the air filter housing.
Care: Air filters are designed for single use and are not washable. Inspect the filter during routine maintenance and replace it when it appears dirty or clogged. Do not attempt to clean or reuse a dirty air filter, as this can damage the filter media and reduce its effectiveness.
