FAQs
What types of paint can I use with these brushes?
These brushes are designed for use with all types of paint, including latex, acrylic, oil-based, and water-based paints.
How do I best store the brushes to maintain their shape?
After cleaning and drying, store the brushes with the bristles facing upwards or laid flat. The hanging holes allow for convenient storage while drying and can be used for hanging in a dry storage area.
Will these brushes work for detailed work?
The set includes smaller brushes (12mm and 25mm) suitable for detail work on trim, corners, and smaller objects. For extremely fine artistic detail, specialized brushes might be more appropriate.
What is the recommended way to clean the brushes after use?
For water-based paints, use soap and warm water. For oil-based paints, use mineral spirits or a suitable solvent, followed by soap and water. Rinse thoroughly until all paint is removed.
How many brushes are included in the set?
The set includes 10 brushes in total, with two brushes of each of the five available sizes (12mm, 25mm, 38mm, 50mm, and 63mm).
Is there a difference between the sizes?
Yes, the sizes range from 12mm (0.5 inches) for precise work to 63mm (2.5 inches) for covering larger surfaces quickly.
Troubleshooting
Bristles are splayed or misshapen.
Reshape the bristles gently while wet and allow to dry completely. Store properly after use, ideally bristles-up or flat.
Paint application is streaky.
Ensure the brush is adequately loaded with paint. Try applying paint with consistent, even strokes. Clean the brush thoroughly if old paint residue is present.
Minor bristle shedding.
This is common with new brushes. After the initial few uses and thorough cleaning, shedding should decrease significantly. Ensure bristles are fully extended before use.
Brush is difficult to clean.
Ensure you are using the correct solvent for the type of paint. For stubborn paint, soak briefly in the appropriate cleaner before washing with soap and water.

Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: The brushes are ready for immediate use upon unboxing. It is recommended to rinse the brushes under cool water before the first use to remove any manufacturing dust or loose fibers.
Compatibility: This set is compatible with all types of paints, including latex, acrylic, oil-based, and water-based formulations.
Care Instructions:
- Cleaning After Use: Immediately after painting, clean the brushes thoroughly. For water-based paints, use soap and warm water until all paint residue is removed. For oil-based paints, use mineral spirits or the appropriate solvent recommended for the paint, followed by a wash with soap and water.
- Drying: Gently reshape the bristles after cleaning. Hang the brushes to dry using the integrated hanging holes, ensuring the bristles are pointed downwards. Avoid drying them by standing them on their bristles.
- Storage: Once completely dry, store the brushes in a dry place. For long-term storage, consider using a brush case or container to protect the bristles from damage and dust. Ensure they are stored bristles-up or laid flat to maintain their shape.
