Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup Instructions
Setting up your Sonos Era 100 Stands is a straightforward process, typically involving a few simple steps:
- Unbox Components: Carefully remove all parts from the packaging. Lay them out on a clean, soft surface to avoid scratches.
- Assemble Base: Attach the base plate to the main stand pole using the provided screws. Ensure it is securely fastened for stability.
- Attach Top Plate/Speaker Mount: Secure the speaker mounting plate or bracket to the top of the stand pole. This is where your Era 100 speaker will rest or be secured.
- Route Cables: If the stands feature internal cable management, carefully route the Era 100's power cable through the designated channel from the top down to the base.
- Place Speakers: Carefully place your Sonos Era 100 speaker onto the top mount. Some designs may have a securing mechanism; ensure it's engaged.
- Position Stands: Place the assembled stands with speakers in your desired location, typically to the left and right of your listening area for stereo, or behind/to the sides for surround sound.
*Always refer to the specific instruction manual included with your stands for detailed, model-specific assembly steps.*
Compatibility
- Sonos Era 100: These stands are custom-designed exclusively for the Sonos Era 100 wireless speaker. They are not compatible with other Sonos models or third-party speakers.
Care and Maintenance
- Cleaning: To clean the stands, gently wipe them with a dry, soft, lint-free cloth. For smudges or light dirt, a slightly damp cloth can be used, followed immediately by a dry cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, or sprays directly on the stands, as these can damage the finish.
- Stability Check: Periodically check that all screws and connections remain tight to ensure the stands are stable and secure.
- Placement: Avoid placing the stands in direct sunlight or near heat sources, as this could affect their finish over time.
