Setup, Compatibility & Care
To install this kit, ensure the vehicle is safely lifted on jack stands and the rear wheels are removed. Access the Akebono brake caliper by removing the mounting bolts and sliding the caliper off the disc. Remove the old, worn clips from the caliper bracket and clean the contact points thoroughly with a wire brush to remove debris and brake dust. Snap the new clips from the Textar kit into place, ensuring they are seated flush. Apply a small amount of brake lubricant to the contact points where the pad ears meet the clips to prevent binding. This kit is fully compatible with the Nissan Juke rear axle. Always inspect the clips for debris during your routine 10,000-mile tire rotations to ensure they remain free of heavy corrosion.
