Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup (Fitting)
- Choose the Right Size: Ensure the gloves fit snugly but comfortably. There should be a small space (about 0.5-1 cm) between your fingertips and the end of the glove for optimal feel and flexibility.
- Adjust Wrist Strap: Secure the half-wrap wrist strap firmly around your wrist. It should be tight enough to prevent the glove from shifting during play but not so tight that it restricts blood flow or comfort.
Compatibility
These gloves are specifically designed for junior goalkeepers. They are suitable for training and match play across various levels of youth football.
Care Instructions
Proper care is crucial for extending the life and maintaining the grip of your gloves.
- Hand Wash Only: After each use, *hand wash* the gloves with lukewarm water. Gently rub any dirt or grass stains off the latex palms. Avoid harsh soaps or detergents, which can dry out the latex. A specialized glove wash can be used.
- Rinse Thoroughly: Ensure all soap residue is rinsed completely from the gloves.
- Gently Squeeze: Carefully squeeze excess water from the gloves. *Do not twist or wring them*, as this can damage the latex and stitching.
- Air Dry: Lay the gloves flat or hang them in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight or heat sources. Avoid using a tumble dryer, as high heat will damage the latex.
- Storage: Once completely dry, store the gloves in a cool, dry place, ideally in a glove bag, to protect the latex from drying out and sticking together. Keep the palms separated to prevent them from adhering.
