The OM SYSTEM CHS-09 Floating Handstrap is an essential accessory for waterproof camera owners who frequent aquatic environments like oceans, lakes, and pools. Its primary benefit is providing reliable buoyancy to prevent your equipment from sinking, though its lightweight design is specifically intended for compact waterproof cameras and may not support heavier professional rigs with large lenses.

It is designed for lightweight, waterproof compact cameras. It is not intended for heavy DSLR or mirrorless cameras.
No, it is recommended to rinse it by hand with fresh water and mild soap if necessary.
The CHS-09 is specifically produced in a high-visibility red for optimal safety and retrieval.
Yes, it is excellent for keeping your camera accessible, but always ensure your buoyancy compensator gear is also secured.
The carabiner is intended for clipping the camera to a vest or bag when you are not actively using it; it should not be used as your primary point of connection to your wrist.
Adjust the cinch slider on the strap to tighten the fit around your wrist before entering the water.
Use a small piece of dental floss as a guide to pull the strap loop through tight camera eyelet holes.
To install, thread the thin loop of the handstrap through your camera's dedicated strap eyelet and pass the strap body through the loop to secure it. After using the strap in saltwater, always rinse it thoroughly with fresh water to prevent salt crystallization, which can degrade the strap's fabric. Allow the strap to air dry completely in the shade; avoid leaving it in direct sunlight to prevent premature fading or fabric degradation. This strap is compatible with most compact waterproof cameras that feature a standard eyelet.
