It offers design flexibility with its viscoelasticity and powerful ability to bond to a variety of high and medium surface energy substrates. Get excellent handling, cushioning, damping, and impact resistance with 3M VHB Tape 4991. This double-sided, closed-cell acrylic foam tape with a PE film liner is strong, highly conformable, and pressure-sensitive. It bonds high and medium surface energy substrates such as exterior metal skins, painted as well as unpainted metals, and higher surface energy plastics. Suggested applications include bonding high and medium surface energy substrates like exterior metal skins.
