The Shimano RT-CL800 Ice Tech Freeza Disc Brake Rotor is designed for gravel riding, offering excellent heat dissipation, quieter braking, and consistent performance. Its proprietary 3-Layer Construction with Ice Technologies Freeza and a radiator fin provides superior heat protection and cooling, leading to more reliable braking and lighter operation. This rotor ensures consistent braking performance with longer pad life, reduced brake fade, and less noise. Built for gravel adventures across mixed terrain, this hydraulic disc brake rotor features a durable construction and performance-enhancing technologies. The Centre Lock System allows for easy and secure rotor installation with a spline mount. The Ultegra grade RT-CL800 Ice Tech Freeza Disc Rotor minimizes heat deformation, resulting in quieter braking without compromising weight or heat dissipation. Its stainless steel/alloy 3-layer sandwich construction effectively manages heat, achieving surface temperature drops of approximately 50 deg C. When used with Ice Tech pads, surface temperatures can decrease from around 400 to 300 deg C, significantly improving overall performance. The rotor's design also ensures long pad life, reduced noise, and less fade due to improved heat dispersion. Utilizing the proven Shimano Centre Lock system provides excellent rigidity and security with a straightforward setup. The rotor contact surface is optimized for excellent pad clearing and cooling, enhancing both pad performance and longevity. A large forged alloy spider supports the rotor surface, increasing rigidity while reducing weight. This rotor comes complete with an alloy lockring.
