Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: While many bikes arrive partially assembled, professional assembly by a bike shop is recommended to ensure all components are correctly installed and adjusted for safety and optimal performance. This includes brake and gear tuning.
Compatibility:
- Tires: The bike uses standard 700c wheels and can accommodate tires up to approximately 40c width.
- Racks & Fenders: Typically compatible with standard pannier racks and full-coverage fenders, enhancing its utility for commuting and touring. Check frame mounts.
- Saddles & Pedals: Standard seatposts and pedal threads allow for easy upgrades or replacements.
Care:
- Cleaning: Regularly clean the frame with mild soap and water. Avoid high-pressure washing, especially near bearings.
- Drivetrain: Keep the chain clean and lubricated. Periodically check for wear.
- Brakes: Inspect brake pads and cables regularly. Mechanical disc brakes may require cable tension adjustments.
- Tires: Maintain proper tire pressure as indicated on the tire sidewall.
- Storage: Store the bike in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
