No, this tin is hand-wash only. Using a dishwasher will likely damage the decorative exterior and integrity of the tin.
Yes, as long as the tin is clean and dry, it is food-safe and suitable for direct contact with your biscuits.
The tin measures 19.5cm in length, 12.5cm in depth, and 7.5cm in height (including the lid).
Metal tins can be prone to rust if exposed to excessive water. By avoiding submersion and drying it immediately after cleaning, you can prevent this.
While designed for biscuits, the tin is excellent for storing small kitchen accessories, stationery, or craft supplies.
Check the rim of the tin for any biscuit crumbs that might be preventing a tight fit and ensure the lid is properly aligned.
Ensure you are using a soft, dry cloth to buff the surface immediately after wiping, as air-drying can leave mineral deposits on the finish.
Setup is straightforward: simply unbox the tin, wipe the interior with a slightly damp cloth to remove any transit dust, and allow it to dry thoroughly before adding your items. Regarding compatibility, the 19.5cm x 12.5cm x 7.5cm dimensions are tailored to accommodate most rectangular biscuit stacks comfortably. To care for your tin, always perform a surface wipe with a damp cloth and immediately follow with a dry towel. Avoid using abrasive sponges or harsh chemicals, and strictly avoid submerging the tin in a sink, as water ingress can damage the lid seal and the exterior decorative coating.
