The Dormer A170 Parallel shank drill bits feature a standard helix and right-hand spiral, commonly known as a Blacksmith's drill. These HSS (High-Speed Steel) drill bits are ideal for general-purpose drilling across a wide range of materials, particularly when chuck holding capacity is limited. They are suitable for both hand and machine use. The Series A170 Blacksmiths Drills have a standard 1/2" parallel shank, allowing them to be used in a 1/2" chuck. These metric drills are capable of drilling up to 4x their diameter. This specific variant has a tip diameter of 14 mm, a working length of 83mm, and an overall length of 156mm.
