Follow the instructions included with your lock to set your 3-digit combination. Usually, this involves inserting the shackle, dialing to a specific number, and then setting your own numbers.

What if I forget my combination?

Unfortunately, if you forget your combination, there is no way to retrieve it. You may need to replace the lock. Keep a record of your combination in a safe place.

Is the lock weatherproof?

The aluminum body provides some resistance to the elements, but prolonged exposure to harsh weather conditions can affect its performance. It's best used in environments where it is not constantly exposed to rain and sun.

What is the shackle made of?

The shackle is made of steel.

What is the warranty?

The Master Lock Combination Padlock comes with a Limited Lifetime Warranty.

Can this lock be used for luggage during air travel?

Yes, it can be used for luggage, but be aware that airport security (TSA) may need to inspect your luggage, and they may need to cut a non-TSA-approved lock.

Troubleshooting

The combination is not unlocking the lock.

Double-check that you are entering the correct combination. If it still does not unlock, try resetting the combination following the instructions provided.

The dials are difficult to turn.

Lubricate the dials and shackle with a graphite-based lubricant.

The shackle is stuck and won't open.

Ensure the correct combination is entered. If the shackle is still stuck, gently try wiggling it while pulling upwards.
