The world's first Fire Extinguisher to tackle Lithium ion battery fires such as mobile phones, tablets, laptops, toys, power tools and electric scooters. Designed for use on lithium battery fires up to a battery power rating of 250 - 500Wh. This extinguisher is compact, lightweight, easy to store, non-toxic and environmentally friendly. Lithium Battery Fires can quickly exceed temperatures of 800C - three times hotter than an oven! The solution quickly cools excessive heat and prevents re-ignition. It is designed to tackle fires caused by Lithium-Ion batteries, such as those found in power tools, laptops, drones and other portable equipment. This type of fire presents a complex risk due to the extreme heat and chemical formulation of the fire. The unique action of the Lith-ex extinguisher is to create a heat proof thermal barrier between hot, burning cells and their surroundings, by spreading waterborne vermiculite particles onto the fire. This barrier prevents propagation of the fire by protecting neighbouring cells from heating up and moving into thermal runaway, and also will protect other flammable materials in the immediate vicinity of the fire. The easily-applied liquid has a significant cooling effect, which is essential in bringing such fires under control.
