The Bixolon XD5-40D is a 4-inch direct thermal desktop barcode and label printer. It features a compact, clamshell design and comprehensive software features, making it ideal for labelling applications in manufacturing, transport and logistics, retail, and healthcare industries. The XD5-40d offers 203dpi resolution, quick data processing, and print speeds of up to 178mm/sec (7 ips). It has an enhanced memory space of up to 256MB SDRAM and 256MB Flash. The printer includes an auto-cutter and supports an external paper supply. It also features a visual LCD display, adjustable paper guide and holder, and accommodates a media roll diameter of up to 127mm. Smart Media Detection™ automatically detects Gap, Black Mark, Continuous, or Notch media formats. Connectivity options include dual USB 2.0 and USB Host as standard, with optional Dual-WLAN, Dual-Bluetooth, Serial, or Ethernet. The USB host port allows for duplication of printer settings and data via its Twin Function™. The XD5-40D is compatible with market-leading programming languages such as SLCS™, BPL-Z™, and BPL-E™, and includes BIXOLON’s XPM™ web-based printer profile management and Simple Network Management Protocol (MIB file). It is also compatible with label design software including BIXOLON’s Label Artist-II™ and BarTender®. The printer supports a maximum print length of 1m and a maximum printing width of 10.8 cm. It offers 1D and 2D barcodes, including Data Matrix and QR Code. The printer has a weight of 1.89 kg and dimensions of 194mm width, 248mm depth, and 169mm height.
