This Laser Tools 4002 ratchet is designed for mechanics and DIY enthusiasts needing a compact and versatile tool for tight spaces. Its primary benefit is the ability to switch between bit and socket use with its included adaptors, offering convenience and efficiency. A minor caveat is its 1/4" drive, limiting its use for larger fasteners. This tool features a 72-tooth mechanism for smooth operation and a forward/reverse switch for easy directional changes, all within a compact 100mm length.

The 72-tooth mechanism allows for a minimal swing arc of only 5 degrees, making it ideal for working in very tight spaces where a larger swing is not possible.
This ratchet is designed for hand use. While it may accept impact bits, it is not designed to withstand the high torque and shock of impact wrenches, which could damage the tool.
You can use any standard 1/4" drive sockets with the provided socket adaptor.
No, the Laser Tools 4002 ratchet comes with the two adaptors (for bits and sockets) but requires you to supply your own 1/4" shank bits and 1/4" drive sockets.
The total length is 100 mm. The usable length from the center of the ratchet mechanism to the end of the handle is 89 mm.
The tool includes two separate adaptors. Remove the currently attached adaptor by pressing the quick-release button, then insert the desired adaptor (bit or socket) firmly into the drive end.
Due to its 1/4" drive size and compact nature, this tool is best suited for low to moderate torque applications. For higher torque needs, a larger drive size ratchet would be more appropriate.
Ensure the forward/reverse switch is fully in position. Clean any debris from the mechanism. If the issue persists, apply a small amount of light machine oil to the mechanism and work it back and forth.
Ensure the quick-release button on the drive end is fully depressed. Try wiggling the adaptor gently while pressing the release.
Do not force the switch. Gently tap the switch area or try applying a small amount of penetrating oil. Ensure no debris is obstructing its movement.
Ensure the bit or socket is fully and correctly seated in the adaptor. Check the condition of the bit or socket for wear. Verify you are not exceeding the recommended torque for a 1/4" drive tool.
