Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: As an automatic watch, the Marine Star 98B466 is primarily powered by the motion of the wearer's wrist. For initial setup or after extended periods of non-wear, you can manually wind the watch by gently turning the crown clockwise (when pulled out to the first position) about 30-40 times until you feel resistance. Avoid over-winding.
Compatibility: This is a standalone timepiece and does not require connection to other devices.
Care:
- Cleaning: Wipe the case and bracelet with a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn dirt, use a slightly damp cloth and dry immediately. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Water Resistance: Always ensure the crown is screwed down tightly before exposure to water. Rinse the watch with fresh water and dry thoroughly after exposure to saltwater or chlorine.
- Servicing: Automatic movements benefit from professional servicing approximately every 3-5 years to ensure optimal performance and longevity. Keep it away from strong magnetic fields which can affect accuracy.
