This Faithfull Plane Set includes a No.4 Smoothing Plane and a No.60 1/2 Block Plane, supplied in two zip-up canvas carry bags for protection during transport or storage. The No.4 Smoothing Plane is designed for smoothing and final finishing, featuring a quality grey cast iron body for strength and stability, precision ground base and sides, and machined seatings to eliminate movement and blade judder. It has a lever cap with a brass locking screw for easy blade release and sharpening, with wooden handles and a solid brass blade adjustment nut for user comfort. Cutter width is 50mm and overall length is 250mm. The No.60 1/2 Block Plane has a low angle cutter set at 13.5 degrees and a fully adjustable mouth suitable for coarse and fine shaving applications, ideal for all types of end grain work.
