Setup:
- Ensure the device is placed in a suitable location (e.g., hallway outside bedrooms, near sleeping areas, or on each level of your home). Avoid placing it directly above or beside vents, fireplaces, or in areas with high humidity.
- Open the battery compartment and insert the required batteries, observing correct polarity.
- Press the test button to ensure the alarm and LED indicators are functioning.
Compatibility:
This is a standalone carbon monoxide detector and does not integrate with smart home systems or other alarms. It is designed to operate independently.
Care:
- Cleaning: Regularly clean the exterior of the detector with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use detergents or solvents. Use a vacuum cleaner with a soft brush attachment to gently remove dust from the vents.
- Testing: Test the alarm weekly by pressing the test button to ensure it is operating correctly.
- Battery Replacement: Replace batteries immediately when the low battery warning indicator sounds, or at least once a year. Ensure you use the specified battery type.
