The Borg & Beck BSK6894 is an essential suspension component designed for DIY enthusiasts and professional mechanics performing front axle repairs. It provides a reliable, high-quality replacement for worn wishbone, control, or trailing arm bushings to restore vehicle handling and stability. While it offers a precise engineering fit, the installation process requires a hydraulic press or specialized bush tool, making it less suitable for those without access to proper automotive service equipment.

It is strongly advised against. Using a hammer can deform the bush housing or damage the rubber, leading to premature failure.
Borg & Beck products typically carry a manufacturer's warranty against defects; check with your specific retailer for coverage details.
The BSK6894 is sold as a single unit.
Common symptoms include uneven tire wear, clunking or clicking sounds over bumps, and a 'loose' feeling steering wheel.
A small amount of rubber-compatible lubricant can help the bush slide into place, but avoid petroleum-based grease which can degrade the rubber.
Ensure the housing is cleaned of all old rubber and rust; use a hydraulic press with the correct size mandrel.
The installation requires a full wheel alignment to correct geometry; perform an alignment at a professional shop.
Check other suspension components such as ball joints or tie rod ends for wear, as they may also be contributing to the noise.
Proper installation is vital for the longevity of the BSK6894. Always ensure the control arm mounting surface is free of rust and debris before pressing in the new bush. Use a light application of rubber-safe lubricant to facilitate the press fit. Compatibility must be verified via your vehicle's make, model, and year, as suspension components are highly specific. Once installed, a professional four-wheel alignment is mandatory to reset suspension geometry. Inspect these bushings during every oil change or every 10,000 miles for signs of dry rot, cracking, or excessive play.
