The Carbeth Plants Crocus Bulb Mix is ideal for UK gardeners looking to establish vibrant, early-spring color in their outdoor spaces. This collection of 75 hardy bulbs, including Ruby Giant, Romance, and Jeanne D’Arc varieties, provides a reliable and low-maintenance display that naturalizes well over time; however, gardeners should note that these bulbs require a dormant period and proper soil drainage to prevent rotting during wet winters.

Yes, these varieties are known for their ability to increase rapidly through offsets, creating larger drifts over time.
A general rule of thumb is to plant them 3 to 4 times the depth of the bulb itself.
Crocus bulbs are generally considered toxic to cats and dogs if ingested in large quantities; keep bulbs away from pets during the planting process.

For optimal results, plant your crocus bulbs in the autumn, roughly 3 to 4 times the depth of the bulb. Ensure the soil is well-draining, as the most common cause of failure is water sitting around the bulb during winter dormancy. If you are not planting immediately, store the bulbs in an open bag in a cool, dry, and frost-free location like a garage to ensure air circulation. Avoid airtight containers, which can cause the bulbs to sweat and rot.
