Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Ensure the appliance is unplugged from the power source.
- Disconnect the old drain hose from the appliance and the drain point.
- Attach one end of the Dapetz hose securely to the washing machine or dishwasher's drain outlet. Ensure a snug fit.
- Connect the other end of the hose to your standpipe, sink trap, or other designated drain point. Use the rubber ends to create a secure seal. For standpipes, ensure the hose is secured to prevent it from popping out during high-pressure drainage cycles.
- Plug the appliance back in and run a short test cycle to check for leaks.
Compatibility:
This hose is designed as a universal extension. It is compatible with most standard washing machines and dishwashers. However, always check the diameter of your appliance's existing drain outlet and your drain connection point to ensure a proper fit. The hose can handle water temperatures up to 93°C.
Care:
- Periodically inspect the hose for any signs of wear, cracks, or leaks, especially around the connections.
- Clean the exterior of the hose with a damp cloth as needed. Avoid using abrasive cleaners.
- Ensure the hose is not kinked or excessively strained, as this can impede drainage and damage the hose over time.
- If you notice any blockage, disconnect the hose and clear any debris.
