The NUX Optima Air pedal is a programmable digital modelling acoustic guitar simulator for electric players. Plug in your electric guitar and morph it into any of 15 internal acoustic guitar models at will. An Impulse Response (IR) loader enables you to capture acoustic guitar impulse responses and load them into the pedal. This allows you to have your favourite acoustic guitars sounds with you anywhere. The Optima Air pedal features 24-bit, 48-kHz sampling quality and 15 built-in acoustic guitar profiles with IR level control. It also has 9 preset slots, a digital reverb effect, a preamp with a 3-band EQ, and a balanced D.I. output. The pedal can be edited via USB. It requires a 9Vdc, 500mA power supply with a negative centre (not supplied). Inputs include a 6.3mm guitar jack, a return jack, and a 3.5mm aux input. Outputs include a 6.3mm output jack and a send. The NUX Optima Air harbours an acoustic guitar simulator equipped with a preamp that can boost acoustic as well as electric guitars. Additionally, this advanced bit of kit features two footswitches: an IR footswitch and an AMP footswitch. The latter toggles the preamp, while the IR footswitch is used to call up preselected IRs. This unit simulates acoustic guitars the optimal way, depending on the type of guitar and fitted type of pickup, while the preamp itself has been outfitted with a 3-band EQ, a Gain control and an extra Reverb effect. You're even free to create your own IR files by recording the sound of your favourite acoustic guitar and, so you can hook all sorts of gear, the Optima Air comes finished with an XLR DI output, a headphone output and an AUX input.
