The Kreg R3 is compatible with most types of wood, from softwoods to hardwoods. Adjust the depth settings accordingly.

The Kreg R3 can join materials from 12-38mm in thickness.

It is recommended to use a Kreg Face Clamp, but a bar clamp or C-clamp will also work.

Use Kreg's screw selection guide or online calculator to find the correct screw length based on your wood thickness.

Keep the drill bit clean and sharp. Replace it when it becomes dull or damaged. Use a drill bit sharpener if necessary.

The Kreg R3 has a positioning slider that allows you to easily adjust within 9 depth settings.

The dual wood-chip holes keep your drill bit clear of excess wood chips.

Clear the wood chips from the drill bit and the drill bit guides. Ensure you are not forcing the drilling process and adjust your speed.

Make sure your wood pieces are flush, your clamp is secure, and that you are using the correct depth setting for your wood thickness.

Ensure you are using the correct screws for the wood type and thickness. Apply wood glue to the joint for added strength.
