Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: Simply plug one end of the Kenable Cat8 Ethernet cable into your network device (e.g., router, switch, gaming console, PC) and the other end into your network port. Ensure connections are secure. The flat design allows for easy routing in tight spaces.
Compatibility: This Cat8 cable is backward compatible with Cat7, Cat6a, Cat6, and Cat5e standards. However, to achieve its maximum 25-40 Gbps speeds, both connecting devices and the network infrastructure (router, switch) must also support Cat8 specifications. It is suitable for standard Ethernet networking and Power over Ethernet (PoE) devices.
Care: To maintain optimal performance and longevity:
- Avoid sharp kinks or bends, especially near the connectors.
- Keep the cable clean and free from dust, particularly the RJ45 connectors.
- Do not expose the cable to excessive heat or moisture.
- When routing under carpets or floorboards, ensure the cable is not crushed or damaged.
