Standard motorcycle tool kits or basic metric hex wrenches are typically sufficient for installation.
The rack is designed to sit alongside the rear section of the bike, but clearance for passengers depends on the specific side cases you choose to mount.
Ensure the rack is centered and do not tighten any bolts fully until all mounting points have been threaded to allow for minor adjustments.
Check that the Monokey locking pins are clean and free of debris, and ensure the case is fully seated into the rack hooks before locking.
Installation of the PL5126 rack is designed to be user-friendly, utilizing the existing mounting points on the BMW G 310 GS. It is recommended to loosely attach all bolts before tightening them to ensure proper alignment across the frame. Regarding compatibility, this unit is exclusively designed for the GIVI Monokey side case series. To maintain the rack, periodically check that all mounting bolts remain torqued to specifications, especially after initial installation or long off-road rides. If the black finish becomes scratched, a small amount of touch-up paint can be used to prevent rust from developing on the steel surface.
