Setup, Compatibility & Care
Initial Setup: Upon receiving the bike, ensure all components are securely tightened. Professional assembly by a bike shop is recommended to ensure safety and optimal performance. Check tire pressure before your first ride.
Compatibility: The Marlin 6 Gen 3 is compatible with most standard bicycle accessories, including racks, fenders, lights, and bottle cages. It features internal routing for a dropper seatpost, allowing for easy upgrades. The rear Thru Skew axle is designed for specific wheel compatibility; ensure any replacement wheels or hubs meet this standard.
Care: Regularly clean the bike using mild soap and water. Avoid high-pressure washing directly on bearings. Lubricate the chain periodically, especially after riding in wet conditions. Inspect brake pads and rotors for wear and ensure they are clean. Store the bike in a dry place. For the suspension fork, refer to RockShox's maintenance guide for specific service intervals and procedures.
