The transmitter supports up to 3840x2160@60Hz (4:4:4 8bit or 4:2:2 12bit) up to 40 meters when using a high-quality Cat.6 U/UTP or F/UTP cable and a compatible receiver.
If you are using a Lindy HDBaseT receiver that also supports PoC (Power over Cable), you can power both the transmitter and receiver using a single power adapter connected to the transmitter, provided they are in a point-to-point connection.
While Cat.5e might work for shorter distances or lower resolutions, Cat.6 or higher is recommended for optimal performance, especially for 4K resolutions and longer runs, to ensure signal integrity and meet the specified transmission distances.
HDBaseT is a global standard for reliably transmitting uncompressed AV signals, along with Ethernet, USB, and control signals, over a single Cat.6 or higher network cable, enabling long-distance, high-quality AV distribution.
Multiview options are typically activated via RS-232 commands. Specific long-press functions on the front panel buttons might also be available for certain multiview modes, as detailed in the full product manual.
The USB Type-C input is designed for AV signal transmission (requiring Alternate Mode support) and does not typically support device charging.
EDID (Extended Display Identification Data) bypass ensures that the display's EDID information is passed directly to the source device, helping to ensure the source outputs the optimal resolution and format supported by the display.
Ensure all devices are powered on. Verify that Cat.6 cable is securely connected at both ends and is not damaged. Check that the correct input is selected on the transmitter and the receiver is compatible. Confirm Type-C source supports Alternate Mode. Test with a shorter, known-good Cat.6 cable.
Use a higher quality Cat.6 or Cat.6a cable. Ensure the cable length does not exceed the specified limits (70m for 1080p, 40m for 4K). Check for sources of electromagnetic interference near the Cat.6 cable run.
Verify the RS-232 cable is correctly wired (pinout) and securely connected. Ensure the correct COM port is selected in the control software. Confirm the baud rate and other serial communication parameters match the transmitter's specifications.
Ensure both the transmitter and the receiver explicitly support PoC. Verify the Cat.6 cable is suitable for PoC transmission and is within the recommended length. Try using a separate power supply for the receiver if issues persist.
Confirm that the USB Type-C port on your source device supports DisplayPort Alternate Mode (Alt Mode). Not all USB-C ports provide video output. Consult your device's specifications.
