Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: The Belmont watch is ready to wear out of the box. If the watch has stopped, gently shake it for about 30 seconds to engage the automatic movement, or manually wind the crown by turning it clockwise 20-30 times while in the 'O' position. Once running, set the time and date.
Compatibility: The watch is designed to be worn on the wrist. The included 3-link steel bracelet is compatible with standard lug widths, allowing for aftermarket strap replacements (e.g., leather, rubber, NATO) with a quick-release mechanism.
Care:
- Cleaning: Wipe the case and bracelet with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials. If exposed to salt water, rinse thoroughly with fresh water and dry.
- Water Resistance: Ensure the crown is fully pushed in or screwed down before exposure to water. The 300m rating is suitable for surface swimming and snorkeling, but not for deep diving.
- Automatic Movement: To maintain accuracy, wear the watch regularly (at least 8-10 hours a day) or store it on a watch winder if not worn frequently. Automatic movements can gain or lose a few seconds per day.
